February 2023 Mission Offering:
Golden Cross

Our Mission Offering for February will go to Golden Cross
Golden Cross Offering is a Special Sunday of the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church, which supports numerous Health and Welfare Ministries responding in the name of Jesus Christ to persons in need. Our ministries serve people all over Wisconsin. From urban to rural. From Milwaukee to Superior, from Janesville to Oshkosh. From Hudson to Sheboygan. From children, youth, and families to older adults. Your gift to Golden Cross is truly a mustard seed gift. Our organizations use these gifts as matching funds to secure foundation funding and other grants that are two, three, or even four times larger than the match.
Health and Welfare ministries supported by Golden Cross Offering include: Harbor House Crisis Shelter in Superior, Northcott Neighborhood House, United Methodist Children’s Center, United Methodist Hospitals Ministry, Bellin Hospital, and several senior housing and community services for the elderly.
Dear Friends,
For generations, The United Methodist Church has had a reputation for caring about and for people, especially those in need of healing and support. Our Health & Welfare Ministries are responsible for perpetuating a great legacy of caring. As your bishop, I am pleased to remind you that, in Wisconsin, we have many excellent reasons to support Golden Cross Sunday. Those reasons include our hospitals, senior living communities, as well as neighborhood, family, and children’s services that are directly impacted by this offering.
Thank you in advance for the generous and caring response to Golden Cross Sunday, which will make it possible for our ministries to continue to serve in Christ’s name on our behalf.
In Christ’s Love,
Hee-Soo Jung, PhD
Bishop

Community Lunch For Kids
"Loving Lunches"
The Community Meal
The Community Meal originated in 2010. It provides a FREE meal once a month on the fourth Thursday from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm. All in the community are welcome to join us to dine in
or carry out. Please watch for upcoming posted flyers for the menu each month.
We celebrate that this meal develops many relationships within our community.
All who attend enjoy the fellowship as much as the food. Any monies collected through the freewill offering are used to support local food pantries and church missions.
Anyone who is interested in helping at the meals to prepare, serve, and/or clean up
or would like to sponsor a meal, which would be around $100, please contact
Mike Toth at 920-296-7629. We welcome all help and donations!
Thank you in advance on behalf of the Community Meal Committee.
